Perovskite photovoltaic (solar) cells have a light-harvesting active layer that uses a perovskie structured compound. This allows for much higher energy efficiencies over silicon PV cells. Perovskite PV cells are also easier and less expensive to manufacture.
Current perovskite PV cells use materials that are not common to Luna however. It would be interesting to do that research.
